Ria Adele is a queer mixed-race poet, performer, therapist, and producer of LaughCry (a queer comedy and poetry event) living on Gadigal land. With a strong belief in the power of giving voice to our stories, Ria is known for her captivating performances that delve into the depths of the human experience. Ria weaves together insightful and self-reflective verses, capturing themes of grief, mental illness, relationships and healing. Ria artfully combines rhythm and rhyme and her soothing vocal tone, creating a unique poetic style that draws listeners into her emotional world and resonates with those with similar struggles.
